Aquaphor K5 K3 K2 K7
Aquaphor K5 K3 K2 K7 water filter cartridges are very high specification providing easy access to high quality drinking water for numerous users with low maintenance costs.
Aquaphor K5 K3 K2 K7 water filter cartridges are fully encased twist lock design to allow for maximum protection against the ingress of bacterial contamination especially during the replacement of cartridge elements.
All Aquaphor K5 K3 K2 K7 water filter cartridge replacements have a quick release twist lock design and are modular for inter-changeability across the range of Aquaphor Solo, Aquaphor Crystal and Aquaphor RO.
The Aquahor K5 cartridge is a 5 micron quick release sediment pre-filter, for rainwater and raw / well waters.
The Aquahor K3 cartridge is a 5 micron quick release carbon block filter with Aqualen and micro-silver.
The Aquahor K2 cartridge is a 3 micron quick release carbon block filter with Aqualen and micro-silver.
The Aquahor K7 cartridge is a 0.8 micron quick release carbon block filter with Aqualen and micro-silver.
Aquaphor K50 K7b
Aquaphor K50 (RO) and K7b (UF) membrane cartridges can last for several years if pre-treated softened water is supplied as the feed water with pre-filter cartridges being replaced at optimum intervals for Irish configured Aquaphor RO systems.
Performance of K50 RO membranes is measured on TDS reduction down to zero to 25 ppm depending on raw water TDS. If performance drops below 90% or a rising TDS from 30 ppm is noted in the filtered water then replacement is recommended.
A new range of ULP or ultra low pressure RO membranes allow for higher TDS reduction and water production 500% more efficient than conventional RO systems – when used in Aquaphor airless / zero pressure (water on water) RO tank systems.
Aquaphor K7B ultra-filtration cartridges are used for the ultimate cyst control in Aquaphor Solo or Crystal filter systems to guarantee sub 0.1 micron or 0.02 micron nominal micro-organism or particulate reduction.
Aquaphor K7B ultra-filtration cartridges are also used as a powerful final stage “firewall” filter in Aquaphor RO systems for some well waters, rainwaters, variable scheme waters, or as an additional safeguard from bacterial ingress of the atmospheric exposed faucet back to the storage tank.
Both K50 and K7B cartridges are the most expensive of all Aquaphor cartridges. However, K50 and K7B cartridges are the longest performing especially on pre-treated softened waters.
The K50 being a self-cleaning cross-flow filtration membrane. And the K7B is the end of process filter when used in Aquaphor RO systems. So it is exposed to the most finite level of contaminants after several stages of exceptional pre-filtration.
